About Ash

Since his arrival in the United States, Ash has embarked on a journey marked by service, entrepreneurship, and dedication to his community. As a dedicated student, Ash quickly obtained with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University,

In 1970, amidst the tumultuous backdrop of the Vietnam War era, Ash demonstrated his patriotism by willingly signing up for the Draft, a decision reflecting his sense of duty and honor.

Ash established himself as a small business owner, a role he would hold for an impressive 25 years. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to excellence were evident as he navigated the challenges and successes of running his own business.

His commitment to community development and planning led him to serve on the Franklin Park Planning Commission for seven years, where his expertise in civil engineering proved invaluable.

Ash was also served for six years on the Franklin Park Borough Council.

Ash is a staunch supporter of veterans’ causes and initiatives such as Operation Shoe Box, exemplifying his deep respect and gratitude for those who served their country.

In addition to his civic engagements, Ash generously volunteers his time and expertise in various capacities. As a tax aide volunteer, he provides invaluable assistance to individuals in need of tax preparation services, ensuring they navigated the complexities of the tax system with ease.

Ash’s passion for education and mentorship led him to volunteer as a teacher at Wildwood Middle High School, where he shares his knowledge and inspired countless students to pursue their academic and professional aspirations.

Upon retiring to The Villages in 2016 alongside his wife, Shashi, Ash continued his tradition of community involvement. Serving as Treasurer of the Property Owners Association, he played a pivotal role in managing the affairs of the community and fostering a sense of unity among its residents. He currently serves as Treasurer of The Villages Democratic Club.
